What Does a Fundraiser Do?

As a Fundraising Charity Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to represent some of Australia’s most respected charity organisations. Not only that, but this is a great casual sales role with unlimited earning potential!

You’ll be a beam of energetic and positive light on the streets and shopping centres around Brisbane and, working in an awesomely fun team, you’ll be dedicated to inspiring new supporters for our charity partners.

We are proud to work with renowned charities like ChindFund and Cancer Council. Trust me, at the end of the day when you see the difference you’ve made to people’s’ lives, you’ll feel so fulfilled and won’t be able to wait for the next day at work!

Working hours are generally Monday-Friday (9 AM – 5 PM), with the option to work some Saturday’s.

We are an organisation representing some wonderful and inspiring charities, promoting social, wildlife and environmental justice, and signing up new long-term donors for our charity-partners.
Be responsible for managing and driving the growth of our Face to Face fundraising teams in Victoria. Based in Melbourne and reporting to our National Face to Face Manager, this is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to be a part of an exciting time in this young organisation’s development.

**You must have f2f team leader experience, signing up new monthly donors.

Key responsibilities

Operational Management
Provide regular weekly reports to National Face to Face Manager on staff, operational challenges, locations and weekly meetings

People Management
Manage and implement the growth of the different Face to Face fundraising programs in Victoria to achieve objectives.
Lead by example to motivate, coach and manage team members to achieve and exceed daily and weekly targets
Communicate serious issues arising from field operations affecting program management to the Face to Face Team Leader of a particular project/charity partner within a timely manner

Human Resources
Help conduct interviews and select team members
Conduct Performance Management due diligence in relation to the on the street teams, with the Face to Face Team Leaders on a weekly basis.
Field Management
Managing location rotation and ensuring permits, WHS and other regulations relating to the use of the locations are met, for each charity

Sales
Meet the individual daily sign up targets prescribed by our organisation
Set daily sales targets for team members that will meet the individual sales targets for each team member and in alignment with our Face to Face monthly targets
Monitor individual team member performances and provide sales support where necessary

Selection Criteria
At least 3 years’ experience in a Face to Face field operations role, with ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a Management role
Previous and provable experience in a results driven role
Ability to lead and manage diverse sales teams, including recruitment and performance management
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience and knowledge of Face to Face fundraising techniques
At least 2 years previous experience working in a sales team
A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the charity/fundraising sector

This is a full time position, requiring occasional work out of regular hours.
A competitive salary commensurate with the not for profit sector is offered to the right person commensurate with experience.
